Excellent router. Convenient control interface in the browser. VPN is easy and clear to configure as both a server and a client. Can connect a GSM modem via USB. Compact. The LED light is not irritating.

I was looking for a small router that supports VPN and has USB-C power capability, so I bought this one. I saw that it doesn't support OpenWRT, but the default firmware seemed sufficient, so I purchased it and I'm very satisfied. It's small, lightweight, and stable.

Excellent little router that does more than some big ones and for a reasonable price. Obviously, this is not the fastest option but for a small personal network, it is more than sufficient. Big bonus: the VPN can be configured directly on the server. The delivery was fast, seller recommended.
I've had 3 others over many years from this gl.inet maker. This one is old, but much newer than my previous devices, faster. I basically waited for opal to be on sale, it's working well, faster interface. I can get 500mb/500mb throughput which is my fibre speeds. Wifi throughput is fairly similar to older slate model - depends on settings of course.
Compact, reliable, and fast — the gl.inet ac1200 delivers stable dual-band performance with a user-friendly interface. Excellent for travel and quick deployments, though a slightly stronger range and more detailed setup guides would make it even better.
Works as described. I get around 65mbit as a wireguard client, which is plenty for my use case as vpn for a chromecast device
It's absolutely great. While looking for something small and cute, I bought the TP-Link WR902AC, but when I unplugged the micro 5pin power, the power part just flew off. The language conversion doesn't work, the functions are limited, and it's slow. Plus, it was a hassle to set it up while traveling, but this product is so, so easy. There is no difference in performance, price, or convenience except for being slightly larger in size. I should have bought this product earlier.
The GL.inet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) Secure Travel WiFi works as described. Especially the ability to use the VPN connection through WireGuard works really well.
